A number of media watchdogs, against bigotry, including Bill Donohue, of the Catholic League, and Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, are uniting against Comedy Central: the makers of South Park, in order to stop a cartoon with a Jesus trying to escape the shadow of his "powerful but apathetic father", while trying to be normal in New York City. The watchdogs, under the banner: CARB (Coalition Against Religious Bigotry), are asking advertisers to look at what they see as a double standard, given Comedy Central's decision to censor South Park on Islam's the Prophet Mohammed.
They consider the show, which hasn't got the green light to air yet, to be anti-Christian bigotry, and thus they believe, should be of concern to any decent advertisers.
